Blog / Keep Up With Twitter Using Nerdsz

Google programmer Aaron Boodman just launched a slick new interface for viewing your friends’ updates on Twitter. Your initial reaction might be, “Huh? Isn’t that what Twitter is supposed to do?” Yes, but as any power Twitter user knows, really keeping in touch with the people who matter to you most can be a bit hard. In my case, because I follow way too many people, my Twitter feed is kind of a mess. I’d have to sit and watch it all day in order to really be up to date with my friends. I usually just check it once or twice a day, then navigate to the profile pages of the friends I’m most interested in to see what they’ve been up to.

With Nerdsz, I can collect that small group of friends and have each of their most recent updates put all in one place. What I like especially about this interface is that it shows me 5 recent posts, because I often end up missing something interesting that was posted when I wasn’t looking.

Twitter itself doesn’t inherently have the ability to organize your friends into smaller groups. An add-on like this would be really helpful.

Check out Nerdsz, and Aaron’s blog post about it.

  1. Hi Sarah,

Thanks for the link and the thoughtful review. Yes I remember you from Atlanta. Looks like you’ve moved to SF? It’s a good place to be.
